In January, I got the opportunity to talk with two fantastic people who are workers of the MoonCatcher project.

The MoonCatcher project is an NGO cooperating with Emma, and have foundations in different African American countries working to period right and period justice. One of the big projects they do is to provide reusable period pads for local girls, whose family is too poor to afford pads.

This aids the family and the girls firstly because pads are extremely expensive and are seen as luxuries for them, so they'll use ashes and woods, unsaturated materials to replace pads, which could result in multiple feminine illnesses. Secondly, girls were forced to quit schools due to the stereotypes in schools, and they can't find a private space to change their pads. the presence of these reusable pads enables them to change it more conveniently, and support their career of study.

And this related to me because I planned to raise money after my platform became bigger, but I think it is inefficient to buy pads because you can only provide that many pads, it eventually got used up. However, with these reusable pads, we could create this sustainable project and save the girls a lot of money.

I'm just recording this thought down because there are more that needs to be done, like a connection with a community in need of pads, advertising for MoonCatcher, testing if their reusable pads cause an effect in the community, etc. \\

And no matter where this project ends up going, I wish to remind myself of this possibility and remind myself to stay sensitive and curious.
