[October Reflection] Where is this project going?

→Firstly, this is my second month of editting video.

One obstacle that came to me, is the fact that my new computer doesn't correspond with iMovie anymore, so I'll need to switch to another system and adapt to another video editing tool. However, this new tool called "Bee Edit" that I found is not meeting my aspectation. In fact, it's farrrrrr below my aspectation. Because when I try saving it as a mp4, my voice sounds terrible and gliching, and graphic quality isn't the best.

Therefore this accident certainly irritates me a lot, and the quality of my video is not as good as I want it to be. However, a good thing is that there are more interaction and feedback from the audience conpared with the last one. Most comments in the last one are saying "keep going", and "you can do this", but this video have more people discussing the period issues I mentioned, and some even gave me suggestions on my content/video edit.

→Now the next thing that I'm planning in my calendar, is to write an article teaching chinese communities on how to shop for pads more efficiently and save more money during the discount festival (like black friday) in China on November 11th.

I already interviewed my friends on feminine hygiene products in chinese market, including those size, confort level, water absorption quality on seven major brands. There are some statistics that I couldn't find or experiment that I couldn't conduct in a shor time, so I used data from Zhihu (Chinese quora) about some datas. And I plan to make a video later testing those datas and test more products from different brands.

→Something that I'm now considering is should I make my video and project also avaliable on youtube? Cuz adding and translating subtitles will be a great load of work for me. And a backup plan I have is to translate the essential ideas in my video into English and publish the translation under each topic of "Work". I'll try doing it when I have time.

→Also, someone asked me where do I want this project to go, because in her opinion making video is benefiting some communities, but she think I can do better. Thus, remaining only in the stage of video making is somehow only "entertaining myself" in my level. Although I don't have that much confidence in myself conpare what she believe in me, I still think making educational videos isn't the best I can do.

I mentioned building a conversation platform for people to ask question and seek for help by themselves, but it can't be achieved until I have a favorable amount of fans. So is there something I can do before I get that much fans? It's something I need to consider for the next month.

→But in my opinion, I've made a lot of progress through this month, and goals for next month are:

1) A new video about period poverty in China.

2) Think about where is project is going

3) finish the article about buying pads during discount festival
